Founders

Built inside a contractor, not next to one.

G& was not designed from a specification document. It was engineered by people who own the rigs, sign the logs and answer for the submission — then built to the standard that work demands.

Doctorate in Digital Transformation — Durham University

Chartered Marketer · Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing

G& started as a problem he had to solve, not a product he set out to build. With gINT now in end-of-life, decades of geotechnical workflows are losing the platform they were built around. The alternatives were reviewed. None of them fitted the way the work is actually delivered, and none carried the project from the rig to the final submission without breaking somewhere along the way. The problem was familiar to anyone who has signed a geotechnical submission: measurements passing through too many hands, with no single system holding them connected and traceable from the rig to the final data package. So he stopped waiting for a vendor to understand the problem and specified it himself.

Alongside that operating background, he brings more than 25 years in strategy, technology and digital transformation across telecommunications, satellite services and data infrastructure, including hyperscaler partnerships, cloud, AI and data platforms, and large-scale transformation programmes.

He holds a doctorate in digital transformation from Durham University and is a Chartered Marketer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Within G&, he is the anchor customer voice — the source of the delivery realities the platform is built to serve.

Group Chief Information Officer — Vodafone

Former CIO — Safaricom PLC; led M-PESA growth

Former CTO — Vodafone Hungary; UK CIO & Global Digital Engineering Director

MBA Marketing/Finance · BSc Computer Science — The American University in Cairo

Ahmed Yehia is Co-Founder of G& and currently serves as Group Chief Information Officer at Vodafone. His earlier leadership roles include Global Digital Engineering Director and UK CIO at Vodafone, Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone Hungary, and Chief Information Officer at Safaricom PLC — where he led M-PESA, Africa's largest mobile money platform, through sustained double-digit annual growth. He also held senior technology and revenue management positions at Vodafone Egypt.

That background maps directly onto G&'s core engineering constraints: forward-only approval workflows with complete audit trails, engine-derived calculation integrity, standards held as versioned governed data, and an AI layer scoped as co-pilot rather than authority. The same disciplines that keep a global telco and a continent-scale financial platform running are applied to the geotechnical schema that binds every reading to a location, depth interval, method and standard version.

He directs the platform's validation engine, standards-as-data, AGS 4.1 dictionary checks, handwriting OCR intake and immutable audit trail — so an engineer can answer "where did this number come from?" years after issue. He also leads the platform posture required for tender-grade delivery: role-based access across field, laboratory, QA and management, dependable integrations, regional and sovereign hosting options, and signed approval records on every deliverable. He holds an MBA in Marketing/Finance and a BSc in Computer Science from The American University in Cairo.

Horema

The proving ground behind the platform

Horema is a ground investigation and geotechnical contractor with decades of continuous delivery, carried through a second generation of ownership. Drilling, in-situ testing, laboratory work and factual reporting sit under one roof.

Field to laboratory in-house

Rig operations, in-situ testing and the geotechnical laboratory run as one delivery chain — the same chain G& models end to end.

Client and consultant review

Factual data issued into formal review by project consultants, where AGS 4.1 conformity and traceability are checked before acceptance.

Standards as contract terms

BS 5930, BS 1377, ASTM methods, ISO 14688 / 14689 and Eurocode 7 are delivery obligations, not references.

Live validation of G&

Every module is exercised on real works — including data management and AGS generation on a coastal mega-project.
